Article 1 / Length of stay
Guests signing this contract, agreed for a fixed duration, shall not be able under any circumstance to avail themselves of any residual right whatsoever in the property after the end of the stay.
Article 2 / Booking formalities
After the reception of your reservation request, we send confirmation of your request by email and ask you to pay a deposit equivalent to 30% of the total cost of your stay.
This deposit can either be made by bank card (via our online payment form) or by check, which will be cashed upon reception.
The amount of the deposit will be deducted from your bill at the end of your stay.
The booking only becomes firm and final once the deposit has been received and you have verified your full and complete agreement with these terms and conditions.
In the event the deposit is not paid within the allotted time frame, the room(s) will be automatically put back on sale.
Article 3 / Booking cancellation by the customer
The cancellation of a booking must be notified by email. We inform you that depending of the cancellation date, all or part of the booking cost will be charged:
– If the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded in full.
– If the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the entire deposit will be retained by VILLA PAULA.
– If no notice period of the booking cancellation is given or the booking cancellation is the same day as arrival, the full amount of the stay will be charged as compensation.
– In the case of an early departure during the stay: the full payment will be charged.
We would like to bring to your attention that no cancellation insurance is included in our rates.
Article 5 / Booking cancellation by the proprietor
If, before the beginning of the stay, VILLA PAULA is made to cancel the reservation of a client, information will be immediately sent to the latter by email.
The guest will be immediately and fully refunded the sums already paid. The guest will additionally receive compensation equal to the penalty which would have been paid by the guest if the cancellation had been made by the guest at that date.
Article 6 / Time of arrival and departure
Your room will be ready to welcome you from 5.00 PM and up until 8.00 PM. It must be vacated the day of your departure by 12pm at the latest. We appreciate if you inform us of your expected time of arrival the night before or the morning of your arrival so that we are available to greet you properly.
Article 7 / Tariffs and taxes
Our conditions and tariffs are not contractual and modifiable without notice. Our promotional offers cannot be combined.
We collect tourist tax to pay to the Treasury via the City of Tourcoing. The tourist tax is € 0.22 per night per person (above 18).
Article 8 / Changing rooms
Without the guest being able to claim any compensation, we reserve the right to change the room originally reserved by the guest with a guest room of the same capacity of a level equal to or of greater comfort. In this case, the cost of the stay remains unchanged.
Article 9 / Payment of the accommodation balance
The balance of the stay will be paid at the end of stay. The payment can be made either by bank card (Visa or MasterCard), cash, or check.
Article 10 / Access and Capacity
The reservation is made for a specific number of people. If the number of people present is higher than the original booking, the cost will be revised accordingly. If however, the number of people is greater than the capacity of the room, additional guests will then be refused.
When taking the keys, an access badge for the garage and an access key for the house and guest room will be given.
We appreciate you taking care of your keychain, any loss incurrs an additional fee of up to € 250 including tax. By way of compensation, this amount will be added to your bill upon departure.
Access to the house is strictly reserved to our guests only. Guests agree not to show visitors around unless expressly authorized. In the event that this principle is not respected, the reservation may be terminated immediately. The balance will be payable in full without any compensation.
Article 11 / Availability of services
In case of force majeure, VILLA PAULA cannot guarantee the regularity of the water and electricity services regardless of the duration of outages or malfunctions as well as any sudden closure’s of the site caused in the case of external forces beyond our control.
VILLA PAULA therefore rejects all responsibility, beyond its legal responsibility, for any deprivation or diminution of enjoyment not originating from its own doing.
The responsibility of VILLA PAULA, beyond its legal responsibilities, cannot be held liable in the case of breakdown or deactivation of technical equipment, if the malfunction and repairs were not predictable.
Article 12 / Pets
We regret that we cannot accept your pets.
In case of non-compliance with this clause by the guest, the refusal to accept animals, and by absolute necessity its owners, by VILLA PAULA cannot be likened to a modification or breach of contract at the discretion of VILLA PAULA. Consequently in this case, upon the guest’s departure, no refund can be considered and the full amount of the stay must be paid in compensation.
We also inform our guests that would be susceptible to allergies that we have two cats (who never go up to the guest room floor).
Article 13 / Lifestyle and use of the premises
In order to guarantee peaceful surroundings and the comfort of all, the respect of a certain “lifestyle” is required.
It is especially requested to refrain from smoking inside the house. In case of non-compliance with this instruction, smoke detectors may be triggered unintentionally and disrupt the comfort of all. Therefore, for our smoking guests, we provide ashtrays for their use on the terrace, accessible at any time.
The customer also agrees to comply with the etiquette guidelines that will be indicated to the guest and are present in the sale terms & conditions.
The guest agrees to leave the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to systematically declare and financially compensate for any degradation of which the guest is responsible. This also applies to any equipment which is made available to the guest during the stay.
The guests’ attention is drawn to the fact that underage guests moving around the house are under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or persons with authority over them.
VILLA PAULA does not accept any liability for loss, theft and / or damage and / or injury caused to property and / or persons on the property, and regardless of the cause.
Article 15 / Modification to sales conditions
These sales conditions are modifiable at any moment and without prior notice. The acceptance and compliance with these sales conditions are deemed understood once the deposit is paid.
Article 16 / Data Protection Act
In accordance with law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data, files and civil liberties, you are entitled to access and correct data which concerns you. We are committed not to pass on, in any circumstance, the information you have provided, to other companies or organizations.
